I have been into and out of astronomy on a fairly casual basis since around 1975. I had the usual department store refractor before that, but couldnīt prove that Saturn had rings using it. I got a Meade 8" f/6 equatorial Newtonian at that time, and had a real hoot with it. As I started getting serious, itīs deficiencies started looming in the eyepiece. After a long time out of it, I picked up a used LX-200, and again, the sky is the limit.
The "Equipment" page lists the current inventory of glassware, while the "Images" page reflects the damage done with it. The software page contains software I have written to do various things, mostly Quickcam related. I hope to add an LX control program which actually works, and supports all the functionality present in the LX interface.
